More than a century of history
La Foya was built across the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries by Gaetà Huguet i Breva (1848-1926). Born in Castellón de la Plana into a well-to-do family devoted to commerce and owners of one of the province's most significant rural and urban estates, Huguet i Breva was an entrepreneur, columnist and patron, and is considered one of the fathers of Valencianism. The estate once stretched over more than 750,000 square metres and for decades gave work to many families in Vilafamés. The housing development that surrounds it today bears his name.
It was at La Foya that Els Valencians de Secà was written, a work by Gaetà Huguet i Segarra (1882-1959), son of the previous. The novel portrays life in the farmstead as a force of cohesion within Valencian society, marked by a deep ethical and civic commitment to one's own land. Today, lovingly restored across seven years, La Foya keeps the essence of that past intact.

La Foya sits within a residential setting. We are committed to good neighbourly relations and we ask the same from our clients. Events with music are permitted in the designated indoor spaces, always respecting the limit of 45 dB measured outdoors during the day and 30 dB from 10 pm onwards, in accordance with the regulations of the Comunitat Valenciana.
